We started today off with finding out that our electric lines had been cut and stolen. The electrician will have to put in another line. We called the police and they met us out at the house. They are going to patrol more often now. We know robberies are common on work sites, but it was still sad. A little set back.

We went to the lake with Aunt Rhonda and Uncle Dave! On our first trip there we had waited for Larry to finish a lot of calls and work things. We finally got to the lake and he had forgotten the keys....so we drove them around and saw the little town of Abbyville.(it would have been an hour to go home to get the keys and back! The next day we tried again and we were successful. Uncle Dave got to ski. He did a really nice job. He did a long run and then said he was done. It is very tiring. So all of my grand kids build up those muscles. Ha Ha

There is our new roof. Do you want to know what lurks under it?

It's a giant silver spider!!!!

All those vents lead to bedrooms, family room and the kitchen! That should keep us cool, don't you think.

It really is a neat system. You control 3 stations from one unit. We can have our bedroon colder than the rest of the house. We can also have the upstairs area cooled when quest come. Pretty awesome, we will love that!

It is a fire place! We can have fires when it is cold outside.

Now that we are building a room up stairs we will finish the bathroom too. This is a cupboard that we added in the bathroom for storage. Great idea Larry for putting into the wall!!!!!

At the top of the stairs we have a door because now we are making this a room for guest, not storage.
This is looking up at the roof that covers the deck. There is more to do on the deck but they are waiting for the sheet rockers to do their thing.

We have windows!!!!! Looks nice. The front door and window above it will come on saturday.
We have a chimney. They will put brick around it. Hopefully that top part will keep the animals out.

They are finishing the soffets up around the edge of the house. They bend the metal to fit the house, Looks nice.

Look at the deck. Part of it will be covered and screened in for comfort. (I am a mosquitoe magnet) It will be fun to be out there now. Looks great!

This picture is of the trim work on the edge of the roof. We have windows too but they haven't been put in yet. It is coming along.

I don't mean to scare anyone but i got a perm! My last one didn't work so they gave me a spiral one. It worked!!! Ha Ha In a couple of days I will tame it down.

Here is the start of our roof. It should be the last time the inside gets wet from the quick rains we have here. We have the soffets going up, electric, and the decking is going strong too. We think we can move in the middle of September.

This is were my grand kids can take swimming lessons. Ha Ha This is our Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom. is it big enough.
Darryl and Sandra came for a visit. It was great to see them. Of course we had a lot of laughs too, as Darryl is a great joke teller. We had fun going out to eat a few times. We also loved taking them to the house. They had just remodeled their house and Darryl and my dad used to build houses, so they had great ideas. Larry and I loved their visit. It was to short though.

We took the Elders boat from the marina to our house for safe keeping until they come tomorrow. Might as well give everyone a ride over. They loved the lake.

bye have a fun ride. I will meet you at our place. (which I got lost)

Uncle Darryl and Grandpa are mapping out the Snyder's next adventure. We had a great time and loved their visit.
They are staring on the deck! It will go the whole length of the house! It will be nice to be out there on our rocking chair.

This room is far bigger than we thought. We were going to use it for storage but now i think we will finish off the bathroom up stairs and use the room as bedroom. A hole family could fit up there!!!!

This is hidden places under the roof.
The Eder family bought a used dock on our side of the lake and we had to float it down to their side of the lake. We used a inter tube under one part of the dock to float it. It was a little scary, but it worked!

The men are getting the guide wires down to anchor the dock to the shore.

Adam got to float down the lake on his new dock.

Larry and I went to Texas to see Amy and Ray sealed in the temple. This was a special experience for us to be there with them. They are a kind and loving couple. Ray joined the church 2 years ago. They serve in their branch as Relief Society president and Elder's quorum president. They were very needed in that area.

This is the 5 siblings that were together at this time. Larry, Julie, Kris, Amy and Dave. We had South Carolina, Alaska, Oregon, Texas and Utah represented.

This is the picture with the "out-laws" We all feel like family. We had fun being in the temple together and visiting afterward. It was a fun couple of days.
This is the star we found at he temple. You see them everywhere!
There are stars all over Texas. They are on a lot of doors, restaurants, chairs and even on overpasses. It was fun to see all the stars.

After the temple we went to the Saltgrass stake house. It was great food and great company. It was fun to be together. Everyone was deciding what to eat. It was 4pm and breakfast had worn off. Julie, Amy, Ray, Bill

Amy, Julie, Rhonda, Dave, and Larry. Catching up on life.

Bill, Dave, Kris,Rhonda,Julie They were all having a nice visit. Dave and Rhonda left from Dallas to go home.
I thought this was cute! The waffles, at the hotel, came in the shape of the state of Texas. They were good too.

The purple pig was a fun lunch visit on our way to a lake for a boat ride. This place had character! Very rustic but great food.

A friend of Amy and Ray's had an open house to honor them
Aunt Amy's friend made her this cake. It was beautiful. The reception for them was nice and a lot of friends came from their currant ward and their old ward too.

This is the Dallas temple in glass, on top of the cake It was pretty.

Home sweet Home. We missed our daily visit to see the house. We got home on Monday night but waited until Tuesday to come out to the property. It looks great! The roofer was there for a decision, the plumber, the framers and the electrician. Welcome home. Tonight we need to go look at brick again and roofs. What color????
